Impact grinding mill available at Prevest Research Institute is of Model MF 10 BASIC (Microfine grinder drive) and MF10.2 (Impact grinding head) from IKA. This equipment is used for crushing brittle, hard materials such as minerals, bioceramics, composites, upto Mohs hardness 6. The ground material passes through a sieve before being discharged. This sieve is interchangeable and available in different hole sizes from 0.25 mm- 4 mm. The ground materials are collected using an NS 29 standard ground vessel.
